Requirements

  • •Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • •5+ years of experience in high-reliability embedded or spaceflight software
  • •Experience with embedded RTOS and Embedded Linux/POSIX programming environments
  • •Skilled in structured problem-solving, technical communication, collaborative environments
  • •Experience with space payload software development
  • •Experience with ECSS standards
  • •Experience with NASA cFS or similar frameworks

Education

Bachelor's degree

Work Experience

5 - 7 years

Tasks

  • •Drive the development and integration of onboard payload software
  • •Translate mission and customer needs into technical specifications
  • •Identify risks early in the design process
  • •Take ownership of the software lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, coding, verification, and validation
  • •Serve as a technical point of contact for customers and suppliers
  • •Structure and track project activities with defined work packages
  • •Produce concise technical deliverables and review materials for project milestones
  • •Contribute to and lead technical reviews
  • •Support integration and testing phases across subsystems and payloads
  • •Coordinate daily work with the team and monitor progress
  • •Surface critical blockers to leadership
