- Strong proficiency with requirement management and system modelling tools
- Expertise in simulation- and military avionic standards and frameworks
- Strong foundation in software architecture frameworks and principles
- Familiarity with modern software development methodologies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor junior engineers
- Pragmatism and passion for simulation
- Eligibility for security clearance by recognized authorities
- Awareness of compliance risks and commitment to integrity
Tasks
- Architect a full-spectrum solution for high-fidelity training systems
- Develop flight dynamics and avionic models
- Design cockpits and visual systems
- Create control stations and synthetic environments
- Collaborate with system engineers and lead architects
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams and military stakeholders
- Gather system needs and define architecture
- Derive subsystem requirements and acceptance criteria
- Define and architect the software foundation for simulators
- Prepare and conduct design reviews with customers
- Support validation, verification, acceptance, and certification activities
- Provide architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with project-specific teams to define common simulator architecture
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in system engineering
- Conduct trade-off studies and evaluate optimizations, new technologies, and tools
