Senior Scientist, Preclinical Development in Animal Health(m/w/x)
Compiling pharmacological and toxicological profiles for animal health products, including compound testing and GLP study management. PhD or comparable scientific credentials required. Support R&D activities in a global veterinary pharmaceutical environment.
Requirements
- Veterinary Medicine degree, PhD or comparable scientific credentials
- Research and Development experience, ideally in international veterinary pharmaceutical environment
- Experience managing animal studies, ideally under GLP
- Strong background in pharmacology, metabolism and toxicology, including active substance evaluation
- Precise, analytical, proactive and creative problem-solving approach
- Fluent written and spoken English and German
- Preference for equally qualified candidates with severe disabilities
Tasks
- Support R&D activities for animal health products
- Compile pharmacological and toxicological profiles
- Conduct literature searches and compound testing
- Plan and evaluate in-house and outsourced studies
- Follow GLP guidelines for toxicology and safety
- Evaluate pharmacokinetics, metabolism, and residue depletion
- Prepare expert reports and regulatory submissions
- Create scientific presentations for authorities and stakeholders
- Engage with contract research organizations
- Collaborate with external experts and universities
- Represent preclinical interests in multidisciplinary teams
