Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar with extensive experience
  • Work experience in wind energy project development
  • Strong knowledge of wind turbine suppliers and technologies
  • Strong understanding of wind project development process
  • Understanding of constraints analysis
  • Understanding of civil engineering
  • Understanding of grid connection processes
  • Understanding of permitting process
  • Willingness and ability to conduct site visits
  • High attention to detail

Tasks

  • Lead engineering phase of wind projects
  • Oversee technical assessments for civil design
  • Conduct cost estimation and procurement
  • Manage environmental permitting and stakeholder engagement
  • Handle risk management and internal approvals
  • Evaluate wind farm feasibility and constructability
  • Assess risk and CAPEX estimates
  • Serve as technical lead for turbine selection
  • Design wind farm layout and transport routes
  • Oversee installation and completion tests
  • Define specifications and requirements for procurement
  • Evaluate technical proposals and support contract negotiations
  • Prepare and quality assure technical specifications
  • Ensure alignment between turbine supplier and BOP contracts
  • Manage interfaces between civil and electrical BOP
  • Support technical due diligence processes
  • Maintain knowledge of market offerings and technical advancements
  • Supervise third-party engineers and external design services
  • Plan, lead, and document project design reviews
  • Ensure technical consistency with economic, scheduling, and regulatory objectives
