Requirements
- Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. in pharmacology, biology, or related field

- 3 years of expertise leading in vivo pharmacology teams
- LTK 2, equivalent FELASA Cat. C course, or certification
- Expertise in leading preclinical animal model studies
- Expertise in renal disease or liver fibrosis models
- Experience with ex-vivo rodent tissue assays
- Ability to influence within matrixed environments
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and commitment to mentoring
- Excellent oral and written English communication
- Desirable proficiency in German
Tasks
- Lead drug discovery project teams as the in vivo pharmacology expert
- Manage a team of laboratory research scientists
- Define and drive in vivo pharmacology strategies for drug discovery
- Guide multi-disciplinary teams toward key decision milestones
- Design and interpret in vivo and ex vivo rodent experiments
- Identify and validate new targets and target engagement biomarkers
- Mentor research scientists to foster their professional growth
- Contribute to due diligence and manage external research collaborations
- Oversee the outsourcing of in vivo studies
- Report scientific vision and data to key stakeholders
