- Develop plugins, templates, workflows, and integrations for Backstage
- Engage with internal users
- Understand user needs
- Validate user assumptions
- Translate feedback into platform improvements
- Design reusable tools, services, and abstractions
- Maintain reusable tools, services, and abstractions
- Make thoughtful architectural decisions
- Articulate architectural trade-offs
- Partner with infrastructure and security teams
- Ensure platform capabilities meet operational requirements
- Ensure platform capabilities meet compliance requirements
- Improve platform documentation
- Define platform quality standards
- Mentor team members on platform quality
