Senior Network Designer(m/w/x)

Description

You will architect and secure complex network infrastructures using CISCO and ARISTA platforms. By designing scalable WAN/LAN solutions and mentoring junior talent, you'll ensure operational excellence.

Requirements

• •Expertise in WAN, routing, and LAN switching
• •Understanding of advanced networking protocols
• •Proficiency in BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and QoS
• •Management of large-scale network infrastructures
• •10+ years experience with LAN, WAN, DMZ
• •10+ years experience with QoS and protocols
• •10+ years experience designing network architectures
• •5+ years experience with network security
• •5+ years experience with monitoring tools
• •5+ years experience with Incident Management
• •CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or equivalent certifications
• •Experience with network automation and scripting
• •Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• •Communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• •Legal authorisation to work in Germany
• •Successful Conflict of Interest assessment

Tasks

• •Design scalable WAN and LAN solutions
• •Implement CISCO and ARISTA network platforms
• •Architect reliable and secure network systems
• •Deploy MPLS networks with advanced QOS
• •Manage OSPF and BGP routing technologies
• •Optimize WAN configurations across multiple locations
• •Apply encryption standards to secure data traffic
• •Implement VPN and SSL/TLS encryption protocols
• •Ensure network compliance with industry regulations
• •Align network architecture with business requirements
• •Collaborate with IT security and stakeholders
• •Maintain network diagrams and configuration guides
• •Develop capacity planning documentation
• •Train and mentor junior network designers
• •Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and DMZ issues
• •Perform root cause analysis for incidents
• •Participate in an on-call support rotation
• •Manage L2 and L3 break-fix tickets
• •Process network design requests via GSEP
• •Execute the international network strategy
