Senior ML Engineer(m/w/x)

Description

You will bridge applied research and engineering by building multimodal computer vision models that transform complex satellite data into reliable, actionable insights for customers.

Requirements

• •Strong Python engineering fundamentals
• •Deep experience with PyTorch and PyTorch Lightning
• •Experience training deep learning models at scale
• •Understanding of ML experimentation and tracking
• •Strong CV fundamentals and debugging skills
• •Hands-on experience with satellite imagery
• •Ownership and proactive work ethic
• •Clear communication and collaboration skills
• •Pragmatic mindset balancing research and delivery
• •Ability to structure complex ambiguity
• •Experience with Ray for distributed computing
• •Experience with Prefect or similar orchestration
• •Familiarity with AWS or cloud platforms
• •Geospatial experience including GDAL and Rasterio
• •Knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar
• •Familiarity with VLMs and LLMs
• •Experience adapting geospatial foundation models

Tasks

• •Adapt state-of-the-art remote sensing and foundation models
• •Design and iterate on multimodal SAR-optical models
• •Develop bitemporal and multitemporal data representations
• •Standardize and preprocess high-resolution satellite imagery
• •Drive dataset quality diagnostics and co-registration checks
• •Build scalable training and evaluation pipelines
• •Perform systematic failure analysis across acquisition conditions
• •Deliver production-ready ML components and monitoring signals
• •Collaborate with product teams to drive business value
• •Define labeling guidelines with the data annotation team
