Requirements
- •Excellent knowledge of Linux/Unix System Administration
- •Knowledge in Virtualisation technologies (VMware), Veritas Cluster, Xen Server, and/or Cloud
- •Fluency in English; German language skills nice to have
- •Experience in providing technical guidance to multilingual teams
- •Collaboration with Automation/DevOps, networking, and security teams
- •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- •Experience in large infrastructure environments
- •Excellent client handling skills
- •Know-how with system hardware
- •ITIL process know-how
- •Certification in SUSE or as RHCE an advantage
Work Experience
approx. 4 - 6 years
Tasks
- •Administer core Linux systems
- •Manage OS administration for RedHat and SuSE
- •Perform backup and restore using NetBackup
- •Conduct disaster recovery activities during plant maintenance
- •Monitor system performance and diagnose issues
- •Implement solutions for system issues
- •Execute system patching
- •Create documentation and SOPs for the team
- •Handle hardware calls as needed
- •Dispatch tickets and manage the queue
- •Mentor team members
- •Respond to critical and high-severity incidents
