Senior Licence Manager(m/w/x)
Managing complex software licence portfolios for international food wholesaler's e-commerce and delivery tech. SAP, Microsoft, and Oracle licensing expertise required. Hybrid work, multicultural teams.
Requirements
- Degree in business informatics, computer science, business administration, or comparable qualification
- At least 5–7 years of professional experience in licence management or IT procurement at a global company
- Very good knowledge of SAP licensing models
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft licensing models
- Very good knowledge of Oracle licensing models
- Experience in supporting complex audits and contract negotiations
- Practical experience using SAM tools (especially ServiceNow)
- Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach
- Strong negotiation skills and confidence with manufacturers
- Strong communication skills with management and international stakeholders
- Independent, proactive approach and high responsibility
- Confident manner in an international environment
- Very good written and spoken German
- Very good written and spoken English
Tasks
- Manage complex software licence portfolios
- Ensure cost-optimised and legally compliant software use
- Support global IT purchasing
- Develop and implement global licensing strategies
- Analyze and optimize software contracts and licensing models
- Prepare and execute complex contract negotiations
- Collaborate in SAM tool introduction and support
- Manage a managed service provider for licences
- Identify cost reduction potential
- Derive measures for consolidation and efficiency
- Ensure compliance and minimize licensing risks
- Establish and maintain licence inventories and databases
- Conduct licence requirement and usage analyses
- Support external audits
- Advise internal stakeholders on licensing issues
- Cooperate with IT purchasing, enterprise architecture, security, and finance
- Advise departments on licensing models and cost implications
- Support cloud transformation programmes
- Develop and automate licence management processes
- Participate in global SAM governance design and expansion
- Introduce and optimize SAM tools
