Senior Legal Counsel(m/w/x)

Description

In this role, you will oversee legal activities across Germany and Austria, guiding the business on risk management while developing strategies that ensure compliance and protect the company's interests. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve advising on complex legal matters, mentoring teams, and collaborating with various stakeholders to navigate the evolving legal landscape.

Requirements

• •German Law degree from an accredited university
• •Advanced degrees such as LL.M., MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualifications preferred
• •Fluency in German and English, further EU language skills preferred
• •Minimum 10+ years of progressive legal experience in multinational corporations and/or in commercial law firms
• •Strong background in commercial law, competition/antitrust law, regulatory compliance, ESG law, M&A, dispute resolution/litigation, and corporate governance
• •Familiarity with FMCG industry regulations is highly desirable
• •Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence senior management and cross-functional teams
• •Experience in data privacy and protection and security and IP management advantageous
• •Experience in managing and developing legal teams and external counsel

• •Represent the company in negotiations and disputes
• •Monitor regulatory trends and advocate for policy adjustments
• •Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams
• •Conduct training on legal and compliance matters
