Requirements

• Diploma or university degree in related field
• Three years experience in relevant industries
• Knowledge of EU import/export regulations
• Experience with global trade software platforms
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Interpersonal skills and collaborative leadership ability
• Business-level German and English proficiency

Tasks

• Ensure adherence to international trade law and local regulations
• Improve operational efficiency and reduce trade barriers
• Optimize trade compliance operations and enhance decision-making
• Mitigate trade-related risks
• Establish and maintain localized import and export procedures
• Collaborate with site management and partners on EU Customs Law compliance
• Act as the primary contact for customs and government agencies
• Manage requests for audits and inspections
• Support external reviews and investigations to minimize adverse impacts
• Manage daily import and export operational activities
• Resolve customs issues causing border delays
• Oversee financial and operational trade metrics and analysis
• Develop strategies for trade issues and opportunities
• Conduct training to improve business knowledge and operational performance
• Ensure compliance with import and export regulations
• Manage customs broker relationships and performance
• Assess and initiate duty management projects and special trade programs
• Drive efficiencies and cost savings through programs like Inward Processing
• Monitor regulatory and legislative changes in trade compliance
• Alert internal parties to the business impact of trade law changes
• Secure required government licenses, permits, and authorizations
