Requirements

  • •7+ years of backend engineering experience
  • •Experience building customer-facing platforms
  • •Comfort working with large datasets
  • •Prior industry experience with Python; Java is a plus
  • •Experience with AWS services and serverless architectures
  • •Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • •Excitement about AI-driven automation and using AI tools
  • •Experience with large-scale data technologies such as Apache Iceberg, Athena, Spark, or similar
  • •Experience with React and TypeScript
  • •Experience building experimentation or evaluation systems
  • •Exposure to fraud, AML, risk, or financial decisioning domains

  • •Build and own backend components using Python and FastAPI
  • •Run backend systems on an AWS serverless architecture
  • •Design, extend, and maintain complex backend subsystems
  • •Expose historical decision data through well-structured APIs
  • •Review pull requests and contribute to architectural decisions
  • •Maintain high standards for code quality and delivery velocity
  • •Collaborate with Product, Solutions, and engineering teams
  • •Translate business problems into scalable technical solutions
  • •Participate in planning sessions, demos, and technical deep dives
  • •Shape execution and long-term direction of the team
  • •Grow as an engineer by taking ownership of systems and outcomes
