Requirements

- Strong expertise in embedded AI, neural network architectures, quantisation, hardware- and quantisation-aware training, deployment formats, and cross-platform portability
- In-depth expert knowledge of hardware/software co-design for ML systems, including cross-layer optimisation, architecture search, benchmarking, and neural accelerator design
- Proven success transferring ML models from research/prototype to productive, value-creating applications on embedded targets
- Comprehensive expertise in modern ML methods, deep learning, multimodal models, end-to-end learning, transformer architectures, and practical limitations
- Very good English skills, written and spoken, for international work; German skills desirable
Tasks
- Own the full lifecycle of machine learning models
- Concept and experiment with machine learning models
- Train and validate machine learning models
- Deploy models on automotive systems
- Optimize AI models for embedded platforms
- Analyze and benchmark AI model performance
- Improve runtime, compute, and memory efficiency
- Apply compression techniques to AI models
- Enable high-performance AI under constraints
- Collaborate with specialists on hardware/software co-design
- Ensure functional correctness and safety
- Ensure deterministic real-time behavior
- Translate machine learning research into applications
- Design scalable MLOps optimization pipelines
- Operate MLOps optimization pipelines
- Enable training across embedded targets
- Enable deployment across embedded targets
- Enable inference across embedded targets
