Senior Director Development Sports Performance Footwear(m/w/x)

Requirements
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office / e-mail management)
- Presentation skills
- Fluent English; German an advantage
- 10 years minimum work experience in athletic footwear industry, specializing in product development, design, or marketing. Proven record of leadership and accomplishment
- Undergraduate university degree preferred
- Technical training in footwear engineering and product development preferred; background in other phases of footwear business (Marketing, Operations, other) may be acceptable substitute
- Extensive management experience
Tasks
- Manage and direct the Footwear Development Sports Performance team
- Understand team capability, project workload, and department interactions
- Elevate team expertise with clear short-term and long-term objectives
- Partner with Marketing and Design through efficient product teams
- Establish project lists and critical milestone evaluations
- Ensure appropriate resourcing and focus on division needs
- Interact with Sourcing Management to address development issues
- Enhance working relationships between Marketing, Design, and Development
- Customize product creation processes for Marketing needs
- Provide direction for an organized and focused organization
- Establish a product execution and evaluation process
- Create standard specifications for new products
- Ensure cost engineering meets target FOBs while maintaining quality
- Drive initial product allocation aligned with sourcing strategy
- Collaborate with Far East management for product allocation
- Guide Footwear Development and enhance quality with partner functions
- Commercialize innovative high-performance concepts
- Deliver constant newness in product range
- Cooperate with Planning and Forecasting for product confirmation
- Balance product confirmation criteria with customer availability
