Senior Communications Manager(m/w/x)
Developing comms strategy for refurbished tech marketplace in Spain/DACH. Fluent English and Spanish or German required. 2 remote days/week, 1 remote week/quarter.
Requirements
- Fluent English and Spanish or German
- 4-8 years leading integrated comms programs for European audiences, or equivalent hands-on communications leadership experience
- Track record managing PR agencies in European markets
- Proven success with earned influencer programs
- Experience translating complex topics into compelling consumer narratives
- Direct relationships with journalists
- Comfort with ambiguity, fast pace, and wearing multiple hats
- French language skills
- Crisis communications experience
- Passion for sustainability, circular economy, or refurbished tech
- Confident communicator
- Ability to write press releases
- Ability to brief a CEO
- Ability to pitch a journalist
- Understanding of genuine storytelling in communications
- Comfortable traveling between markets
- Managing competing priorities
- Building trust with reporters, influencers, and executives
- Regular travel between markets
Tasks
- Develop and execute annual comms strategy for Spain and DACH
- Align corporate moments, product launches, and cultural storytelling with business outcomes
- Build and maintain media relationships with reporters and editors
- Cultivate an earned influencer community of 5-15 active advocates
- Manage agency performance in both Spain and Germany
- Provide executive counsel and media preparation for country managers and marketing leadership
- Plan and respond to crisis communications in real-time
- Craft corporate narratives on funding, expansion, policy, and thought leadership
- Create consumer storytelling for product moments, brand trust, and cultural relevance
- Activate influencer community through building, seeding programs, and organic advocacy
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, brand activism, partnerships, and sustainability teams
- Travel regularly between Spain and Germany
- Write compelling press releases and pitch journalists
- Brief executives and manage competing priorities
- Build trust with reporters, influencers, and executives
