(Senior) Category Manager(m/w/x)
Category strategy and P&L ownership for sustainable electronics reuse. 5+ years in e-commerce or retail analytics required. Dog-friendly office, paid child sick leave.
Requirements
- 5+ years relevant experience in Category Management, E-Commerce, Retail, Consulting, or analytical commercial role
- Strong commercial acumen with deep understanding of P&L ownership, pricing, inventory management, and e-commerce performance drivers
- Highly analytical mindset with ability to identify root causes, prioritize effectively, and make data-driven decisions in ambiguous environments
- Experience with large datasets and modern analytics tools (SQL, Looker, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar)
- Strong affinity for AI-supported workflows, automation, and data-driven decision-making; experience using AI tools is a strong plus
- Proven ability to independently lead complex cross-functional projects and manage stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with high degree of ownership and comfort operating autonomously
- Strong communication skills with ability to convey complex topics clearly, concisely, and structured
- Experience working with Marketing and/or Paid Marketing teams is a plus
- Fluent English; German or another European language is a plus
Tasks
- Own full commercial performance of categories
- Manage P&L, inventory health, growth, and profitability
- Define and execute category strategies
- Analyze customer behavior, market trends, and competitor dynamics
- Optimize assortment quality and lifecycle management
- Ensure product availability and customer relevance
- Drive pricing strategy and daily pricing decisions
- Collaborate with Data Science and Pricing teams
- Identify growth levers through performance analysis
- Plan and execute commercial initiatives and campaigns
- Partner with Marketing and CRM teams
- Improve category performance and inventory efficiency
- Enhance customer experience with cross-functional teams
- Lead and drive cross-functional projects
- Leverage AI tools and automation workflows
- Improve decision-making and operational efficiency
- Transform complex analyses into actionable recommendations
