Requirements

  • •Proven track record in API aggregators, AWS, and complex backend systems
  • •Strong engineering fundamentals with passion for simplicity, quality, and ownership
  • •Experience with serverless and event-driven architectures
  • •Strong observability practices for distributed systems
  • •Familiarity with AI-assisted development and code generation
  • •Fintech domain exposure (KYC, credit bureaus, fraud-prevention APIs)
  • •Experience leading teams or projects (a plus, not required)
  • •Prior industry experience with Python
  • •Prior industry experience with public cloud providers, preferably AWS

Work Experience

Tasks

  • •Lead the expansion and improvement of the Data Marketplace and integration engine
  • •Design, build, and ship backend components in Python on AWS
  • •Raise code quality through deep reviews and maintain fast, reliable CI/CD
  • •Own outcomes for the Data Marketplace by streamlining provider onboarding
  • •Introduce safe rollout and versioning strategies
  • •Cut time-to-new-integration while ensuring reliability and cost-effectiveness
  • •Set integration architecture and standards, defining clear API contracts and SDKs
  • •Establish testing and resilience patterns, including idempotency and retries
  • •Lead projects from API discovery to production launch
  • •Write crisp RFCs and validate with spikes
  • •Align stakeholders and implement changes with observable outcomes
  • •Raise reliability and performance by establishing SLOs
  • •Instrument tracing, metrics, and logging, and build dashboards and runbooks
  • •Continually reduce latency and mean time to recovery (MTTR)
  • •Mentor team members through design reviews and pair programming
  • •Share patterns and documentation to enhance team skills in system design and AWS
  • •Collaborate openly in daily syncs, planning, and demos
  • •Partner with Product, Security, and Customer teams to create robust solutions
