Requirements

  • Ability to write well-structured, tested code in multiple high-level languages (Python, Golang, Java, Ruby) and Javascript/Typescript
  • Experience designing/implementing scalable architecture and reliable REST APIs
  • Good experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and architectural patterns
  • Good understanding of document-based or relational database technologies (MySQL/PostgreSQL or MongoDB)
  • Ability to write high-quality, understandable, maintainable, and tested code
  • Ability to guide other engineers via code reviews
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability for in-depth evaluations of complex technological issues
  • Track record of designing, building, and operating reliable/scalable backend systems in a cross-functional team
  • Prior experience in Fintech or financial service provider (advantageous)
  • Product engineering mindset, excited by solving customer problems
  • Desire to become an expert in the domain area
  • Enjoyment of building from scratch and high involvement in product development
  • Advocating for best engineering practices
  • Enjoyment of making technical decisions
  • Readiness and willingness to take ownership of problems decisively without supervision
