(Senior) Avionics Test Engineer(m/w/x)
Testing avionics hardware and electrical cabinets for space launch vehicles. 3-5+ years hands-on electrical or automated test engineering experience required. Virtual company share program, 30 days vacation.
Requirements
- M.Sc. or Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
- 3 to 5+ years hands-on experience in electrical, avionics or automated test engineering
- Experience designing, commissioning and operating electrical test rigs or laboratory test setups
- Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical systems, wiring, instrumentation and communication interfaces
- Experience with test automation and integration of test equipment via analog and digital interfaces
- Structured and reliable working method with high quality and safety standards
- Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, C/C++ or similar tools for automation and analysis
- Fluent English, written and spoken
- Experience in environmental testing for aerospace hardware
- Hands-on experience with Beckhoff, PLCs, EtherCAT or similar automation platforms
- Understanding of Aerospace test standards such SMCS, RCC etc. and command over it
Tasks
- Plan, prepare, and execute functional testing of avionics hardware
- Develop, commission, maintain, and improve electrical test rigs
- Troubleshoot and debug electrical cabinets, harnesses, and interfaces
- Create and improve test procedures and automated sequences
- Post-process and evaluate test data
- Document anomalies and write reports
- Maintain, calibrate, and upgrade test equipment
- Identify workflow bottlenecks
- Contribute to increasing test automation, repeatability, and throughput
