Senior Audit manager - EU(m/w/x)

Requirements

• Willingness to travel to European offices
• Knowledge of EU regulatory environments and BaFin
• Fluent German and English
• Knowledge of IIA, BaFin, VAG, EIOPA, Solvency II
• Analytical mind and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and risk evaluation
• Ideally track record in audit delivery
• Ability to deliver results to leadership
• Clear communication and stakeholder coordination
• Capability to mentor junior auditors
• High level of statistical competency
• Experience in audit remediation and planning
• Insurance industry experience

Tasks

• Oversee and perform end-to-end risk-based audits
• Focus on continental European entities and markets
• Engage regularly with senior European stakeholders
• Serve on the Internal Audit Leadership team
• Lead audit scoping, testing, and reporting
• Present audit results to senior management
• Advise management on action plans and deadlines
• Oversee and perform audit remediation follow-ups
• Contribute to the annual audit plan
• Provide input for departmental risk assessments
• Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders
• Promote continuous improvement in audit methodology
• Mentor and coach audit team members
• Drive and develop continuous monitoring initiatives
• Ensure adherence to global and local standards
• Travel to various European offices as required
