- •Ph.D. in agricultural sciences with a focus on plant breeding and quantitative genetics, biostatistics, or equivalent
- •Postgraduate experience in a relevant field is a plus
- •Experience with hybrid crops
- •Passion for data analysis and ability to work with large data sets
- •Proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, ASReml)
- •Striving for value-added solutions in multidisciplinary teams
- •Project management and good communication skills
- •English is a prerequisite, professional knowledge of German would be a plus

- •Ensure application support in data analytics and biostatistics
- •Optimize breeding program success and increase genetic gain
- •Develop a deep understanding of hybrid crops and their data analysis needs
- •Evaluate and expand quantitative genetics capabilities
- •Maintain knowledge of scientific developments in data analysis methods
- •Perform standard quantitative genetic analyses independently
- •Use mixed linear models to analyze phenotypic data
- •Conduct genomic predictions and analyses for cross planning
- •Monitor genetic gain and genetic diversity
- •Develop and automate data analysis pipelines and systems
- •Collaborate with biostatisticians and Breeding Information teams
- •Identify and implement innovative methods for breeding program optimization
- •Engage in statistical analysis, simulation, and algorithmic optimization
- •Review emerging literature on data analytics implementation
- •Participate in collaborative scientific projects with public institutions
