Requirements

  • PhD in in-vitro pharmacology, neuroscience, cell biology, or related discipline
  • Proven neuroscience experience (e.g., epilepsy, neurodegeneration)
  • Deep understanding of neuroimmune interactions (advantageous)
  • Strong expertise in pharmacological assay development and execution
  • Experience with GPCRs, ion channels, transporters, or kinases
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative pharmacology skills
  • Deep experience in data analysis, modeling, and interpretation
  • Ability to translate in vitro data into project decisions
  • Clear understanding of pharmacology's role in drug discovery
  • Clear understanding of quantitative translation to humans
  • Experience in hybrid internal and outsourced model
  • Experience with scientific oversight of external partners or CROs

Tasks

  • Design and execute in vitro pharmacology studies
  • Interpret study results for decision-making
  • Develop mechanistic assays for target biology
  • Assess mode of action and competitor benchmarks
  • Characterize GPCRs, ion channels, transporters, or kinases
  • Generate high-quality, decision-relevant data
  • Lead external collaborations and study design
  • Oversee scientific oversight of outsourced work
  • Align external collaborations with internal strategy
  • Represent Primary Pharmacology in cross-functional teams
  • Contribute to project and portfolio decisions
  • Ensure high standards of data quality and documentation
  • Maintain scientific communication with internal and external partners
