Requirements

  • Completed scientific degree (Diploma/Master) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or comparable fields, preferably with a doctorate
  • Experience in design and realization of fiber lasers (laser resonators and amplifiers design, optical components assembly, thermal and nonlinear effects) and related measurement techniques (beam quality, spectrum, temporal dynamics)
  • Knowledge in handling splicing devices and heat sinks for fiber lasers (ideally)
  • Knowledge in fiber optics, micro optics, or simulation of fiber lasers (advantageous)
  • Passion for scientific work and practical application of research results
  • Very good German (B2/C1 level) and English (at least B2 level) in spoken and written form
