- PhD in agronomy, soil science, crop science, plant nutrition, plant physiology or related discipline is a plus
- Deep understanding of N and P chemistry in soils, nutrient dynamics, and plant nutrient uptake mechanisms
- Strong scientific grounding in crop nutrition, soil processes, and agronomy
- Knowledge of soil and fertilizer chemistry and plant physiological processes
- Ability to apply soil/fertilizer chemistry and plant physiology concepts to product development
- Fundamental knowledge of fertilizer products and application techniques/equipment
- Hands-on experience conducting laboratory, greenhouse, and/or field experiments
- Proficiency in experimental design, analysis and interpretation of complex datasets
- Ability to translate scientific insights into practical recommendations
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work in multidisciplinary and international teams
- Fluency in English
- German language skills are a plus
Tasks
- Design R&D projects for high efficiency phosphorous fertilizers
- Coordinate internal and external research on agronomic efficiency
- Evaluate nutrient release and soil quality of fertilizer candidates
- Assess environmental impact of fertilizer product candidates
- Develop methods to evaluate new crop nutrition products
- Implement performance testing for new crop nutrition products
- Conduct screening and proof-of-concept tests for new technologies
- Represent Yara at scientific and technical events
- Collaborate with the Premium Products and Organics R&D Team
- Contribute to additional R&D projects as needed
