Requirements

  • •Completed university degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Communications (Network), or equivalent qualification
  • •More than 5 years of professional experience in relevant fields
  • •Knowledge and practical experience in processes and standards of the space industry (e.g., ECSS, CCSDS)
  • •Experience in systems engineering and corresponding methods and tools
  • •Interest and ability to quickly familiarize oneself with new technologies
  • •Experience working on classified projects (an advantage)
  • •Experience in managing technical stakeholders (an advantage)
  • •Good communication and presentation skills
  • •Team-oriented work style
  • •Fluent in German and English
  • •French language skills (a plus)

Education

Bachelor's degree

Vocational certification

Tasks

  • •Define architecture for satellite control and monitoring
  • •Specify and integrate hardware and software components
  • •Configure mission control components
  • •Analyze requirements and define architecture for ground segments
  • •Evaluate design trade-offs and manage interfaces
  • •Create interface documents (ICD)
  • •Specify hardware and software elements and redundancy concepts
  • •Support the definition of ground segment operating concepts
  • •Train satellite operators
  • •Estimate costs for ground segment development and operation
  • •Assist in system development, assembly, integration, and verification
  • •Contribute to proposals, studies, and research activities
  • •Manage procurement of software components
  • •Collaborate with Space Segment Engineering, Performance Engineering, and Operations Engineering
