Requirements

  • Diploma or master’s degree in Meteorology, Oceanography, Physics, (Techno)Mathematics, or Engineering
  • Experience in numerical modeling of atmospheric processes
  • Familiarity with meteorological topics
  • Programming skills in Python or Julia
  • Data analysis expertise
  • Basic project management experience
  • Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, or wind energy
  • Diversity of skills

Tasks

  • Develop numerical models for atmospheric flow processes

  • Transfer models from fundamental research to industrial applications
  • Validate models using operational wind farm data and measurements
  • Advise companies, policymakers, and public authorities
  • Link models with macroeconomic and business economics analyses
  • Contribute to research project idea development
  • Manage smaller research projects
  • Author scientific publications
  • Present findings at international conferences
  • Collaborate with team members across projects and backgrounds
  • Foster a culture of open exchange and cooperation
