Requirements

  • •PhD in protein biochemistry or related field with an excellent track record
  • •Strong acquaintance with rational construct design, protein expression, chromatographic purification techniques, purification process optimization, and protein characterization methods
  • •Profound knowledge in structural biology (X-ray or Cryo-EM)
  • •Hands-on mentality with problem-solving mindset and attention to details
  • •Independent, service-oriented way of working with outstanding team spirit and excellent organization and communication skills
  • •Experience with purification, reconstitution, and characterization of multi subunit protein and/or protein-nucleic acid complexes
  • •Background in RNA production and characterization is a plus

Doctoral / PhD

Tasks

  • •Contribute scientific expertise to multidisciplinary teams
  • •Plan and execute independent research projects
  • •Review scientific literature
  • •Develop and optimize protein production workflows
  • •Characterize proteins using biochemical and biophysical methods
  • •Prepare project documentation, including plans and reports
  • •Present scientific results to colleagues and business partners
