Requirements

  • Extensive mammalian cell culture experience, including immune cells and tumor cell lines
  • Hands-on work with primary human cells is a strong advantage
  • Proven expertise in immunological and molecular techniques
  • Experience with advanced methods (cell sorting, high-parameter flow cytometry, RNAseq) is desirable
  • Strong scientific track record with publications
  • Demonstrable experience drafting and revising manuscripts
  • Documented experience acquiring third-party funding
  • Commitment and aptitude to develop grant applications
  • Pronounced interest in tumor immunology, immunometabolism, and mitochondrial biology
  • Previous research experience in tumor immunology, immunometabolism, or mitochondrial biology is a significant plus
  • Independent, well-structured, and reliable working style
  • High motivation and enthusiasm for collaborative research
  • Excellent written and spoken English

Tasks

  • Lead and execute research on pembrolizumab's effects on mitochondrial metabolic reprogramming in macrophages
  • Establish and optimize in vitro models using patient-derived penile cancer cells and human monocytes/macrophages
  • Isolate, differentiate, and co-culture monocytes and macrophages
  • Conduct comprehensive functional analyses of macrophages
  • Perform in-depth mitochondrial assessments
  • Contribute to high-resolution proteomic and phosphoproteomic studies
  • Participate in data processing, bioinformatic analysis, and biological interpretation
  • Produce high-quality peer-reviewed manuscripts
  • Present research findings at national and international conferences
  • Play an active role in strategic research program development
  • Contribute to the acquisition of third-party funding
