Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent in biology, molecular biology, molecular medicine, biochemistry, or related field
- Strong foundation in experimental techniques and interest in molecular biology and human disease mechanisms, ideally in cardiovascular and/or kidney disease and immunology
- Background in computational biology
- Basic understanding of statistics
- Willingness to learn new molecular methods (in vitro and in vivo) and computational biology tools
- Very good communication skills in English
- High motivation, ability to work independently and in an interdisciplinary team
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Valid proof of measles immunity / measles vaccination
Tasks
- Investigate multicellular communication mechanisms in vitro and in vivo
- Analyze how these interactions affect vascular function
- Explore links between vascular aging, cardiovascular disease, and renal health
- Process and quality control scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, and spatial transcriptomics data
- Collaborate with experimental and clinical researchers to define hypotheses
- Interpret results in biological and clinical contexts
- Present findings within the working group, at seminars, and international conferences
- Write a PhD thesis and contribute to scientific publications
