Reinsurance Accountant(m/w/x)

Description

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in reinsurance accounting to manage complex contracts and ensure financial accuracy. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with various teams, executing financial processes, and driving improvements in operations.

Requirements

• •Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• •Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, etc.) highly valued
• •5-8 years in finance or accounting roles
• •Substantial experience in the (re)insurance industry
• •Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• •Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German or willingness to develop German language skills
• •Sophisticated analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• •Strong team player who thrives in collaborative environments
• •Ability to build relationships across departments
• •Understanding of reconciliation processes and financial controls
• •Ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment
• •Experience in developing new and automated processes
• •Experience with clients or stakeholder communication in a professional setting

Tasks

• •Execute comprehensive statements of accounts for reinsurers and brokers
• •Manage claim recoveries with precision
• •Calculate payables and receivables for reinsurance contracts
• •Set up new reinsurance contracts and maintain renewals
• •Drive collaboration with internal functions and manage broker interactions
• •Execute monthly and quarterly closing activities
• •Refine Standard Operating Procedures for efficiency
• •Support process improvement initiatives and automate opportunities
