Regional Financial Controller(m/w/x)

Requirements

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Accounting designation (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent)
• 5+ years of progressive finance experience
• Experience with ERP system development and optimization (ideally Workday)
• Strong analytical skills and proven reporting capabilities
• Excellent communication (German and English) and interpersonal skills
• Strategic thinking with solid technical understanding
• High personal integrity and strong ethics
• Demonstrated leadership ability and team development/mentoring talent
• Strong IT aptitude and comfort with financial systems

Tasks

• Build and maintain efficient, cost-effective accounting systems
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
• Ensure alignment with regional and corporate requirements
• Implement accurate accounting treatments and corporate policies
• Identify and lead continuous improvement for financial processes
• Own and maintain regional accounting policies
• Ensure policies align with Group and statutory standards
• Proactively highlight policy deviations
• Develop the finance team
• Ensure strong internal controls
• Ensure proper segregation of duties
• Ensure effective backup structures
• Lead key financial reporting
• Oversee monthly budget-to-actuals and DSO performance reporting
• Support pre- and post-acquisition processes for M&A targets
• Optimize corporate structure with external partners
• Ensure compliance with external partners
• Enable effective tax management with external partners
• Prepare financial analyses for acquisitions and capital projects
• Support financial analyses for strategic initiatives
• Partner with Corporate for effective treasury management
• Ensure current treasury activities
• Align treasury activities with best practices
• Lead the annual budgeting process
• Manage P&L, capital planning, headcount, and KPI budgets
• Contribute to strategic planning updates
• Contribute to scenario analyses
• Ensure accurate statutory and legal entity reporting
• Coordinate interim and year-end external audits
• Consolidate regional results
• Report regional results by business line and GBU
• Solve day-to-day issues
• Escalate risks appropriately
• Build strong partnerships with regional operational and financial leaders
• Analyze financial results and key drivers
• Compare performance to budget and prior year
• Compare performance to FX-adjusted forecasts
• Prepare monthly reporting packages
• Participate in Finance and Regional Operations review meetings
• Collaborate with global and regional teams
• Enhance forecasting, analysis, and information flow
• Coach and develop team members
• Mentor team members for succession planning
• Advise the Regional SVP on strategic goals
• Support the Regional SVP in achieving operational goals
