R&D IS Operations Engineer(m/w/x)
Integrating non-standard hardware/software and deploying business applications for R&D development teams in automotive tech. Hands-on experience with R&D Engineering Tools (PLM/ALM, CAD) and cloud platforms essential. Sports and health allowances.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Relevant certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), DevOps tools (Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes), or systems administration
- 3–5 years of professional experience in software architecture and/or production platform operations
- Hands-on experience with R&D Engineering Tools and platforms such as PLM/ALM, CAD, TeamForge, Git, Jenkins
- Strong background in cloud platforms and cloud computing, with foundational knowledge of AI/ML technologies
- Proven track record in supporting enterprise-level software, IT infrastructure, and heterogeneous operating systems (Windows/Linux)
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate IS/IT projects and collaborate across multiple departments and stakeholders
- Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects, including system migrations, upgrades, and cloud adoption
- Solid understanding and practical experience in Agile and DevOps environments, with a focus on continuous improvement and automation
- Fluent English (spoken and written), German is a plus
- Team Player with very good communication skills, ability to work in an international team
Tasks
- Liaise with diverse stakeholders to identify IS & T needs
- Evaluate stakeholder needs and propose solutions
- Support development teams with system and network issues
- Ensure efficient deployment of business processes and applications
- Integrate non-standard hardware and software into existing systems
- Maintain coherence between Group IS standards and local implementation
- Pilot new business features not covered by standards
- Share best practices with other operations engineers and cross-functional teams
- Manage local licenses from ordering to support according to IS-IT rules
- Contribute to IS & IT projects from start to finish
- Manage ticketing systems and contribute to departmental KPIs
- Train and support internal and external business users as needed
- Focus on R&D and interdisciplinary work expectations
- Communicate R&D team requirements to the global IT and IS organization
- Manage incidents from identification to resolution and restore operations
