Quantitative Risk Analyst(m/w/x)
Developing and maintaining quantitative risk and pricing models for energy trading portfolios. 3+ years of quantitative risk modelling experience required. Sabbatical or additional vacation, work from abroad up to 20 days.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in quantitative field
- 3+ years quantitative risk modelling, valuation, or pricing experience
- Energy trading experience or interest in power & gas
- Strong Python skills
- Experience with scientific Python stack
- Clean, production-grade code writing
- Solid understanding of stochastic processes
- Solid understanding of Monte Carlo simulation
- Solid understanding of time series analysis
- Familiarity with derivative pricing, valuation, risk metrics
- Practical exposure to ML techniques for forecasting, calibration
- Experience with databases and cloud/data platforms
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Pragmatic mindset and attention to detail
- Self-starter, hands-on mindset
- Ownership and driving topics from idea to implementation
- Working in cross-functional teams
- Adaptability to dynamic environment
- Willingness to work collaboratively
- Pair coding and code reviews
- Very good communication skills in English
- Ability to explain complex topics to non-quants
Tasks
- Work in a collaborative, international team
- Shape quantitative risk management for a growing trading portfolio
- Take ownership of models from idea to production
- Develop and maintain quantitative risk and pricing models
- Design and run Monte Carlo and scenario simulations
- Implement models and analytics in Python
- Use data-driven and ML approaches for risk management
- Collaborate with Trading, Risk, Finance, and Tech teams
- Translate complex concepts into actionable messages
- Explore and implement new methods in risk modeling
- Mentor juniors, working students, and interns
