Description

In this role, you will lead the Quality Department, ensuring high standards by collaborating with the Trade team and suppliers. Daily tasks will involve grading coffees, managing samples, and supporting sales with quality and compliance inquiries.

Requirements

• •Minimum 2 years of experience in the coffee industry
• •Previous experience in coffee quality control or sensory analysis– Q Grader certification is a plus
• •Sample roasting experience preferred
• •Experience in sales or customer-facing role advantageous
• •Microsoft Office proficiency
• •Tools for quality assessment
• •Understanding of exporter country quality standards & procedures
• •Proficiency in German and English

Tasks

• •Receive incoming green coffee samples
• •Prepare and dispatch samples to customers in a timely manner
• •Support the trading team by cupping and grading coffees
• •Conduct sample roasting for client requests and cupping sessions
• •Set up and break down cupping tables according to industry standards
• •Maintain cleanliness and organization of the quality lab
• •Monitor inventory and equipment
• •Register incoming samples and maintain proper documentation
• •Participate in cupping sessions
• •Physically grade green coffee samples
• •Assist sales team and customers with quality-related inquiries
• •Calibrate, maintain, and update customer specifications
• •Support sales team with food safety and compliance matters
