Project Engineer(m/w/x)

Description

In this role, you will drive technical excellence by managing CAPEX projects and engineering improvements. You'll ensure smooth factory operations through expert design, contractor oversight, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• •Tertiary qualification in Engineering
• •Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
• •Strong project management skills
• •Formal project management certification (plus)
• •3 years technical FMCG engineering experience
• •3+ years Food, Beverage, or Dairy industry experience
• •Knowledge of food processes and packaging technologies
• •Knowledge of food safety and GMP standards
• •Experience in aseptic filling technology (advantageous)
• •Ability to develop technical documentation
• •High level of personal integrity
• •Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• •Influencing and stakeholder management skills
• •Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• •Fluent written and spoken English
• •German proficiency (strong advantage)
• •Enjoyment of virtual, multicultural environments
• •Willingness to travel 30% of the time

Tasks

• •Design and execute technical engineering projects
• •Conduct feasibility assessments and cost estimations
• •Develop project scopes and URS documentation
• •Prepare Capital Appropriation Requests
• •Lead small-scale projects under senior guidance
• •Identify and drive value-creating manufacturing initiatives
• •Validate and track financial savings and benefits
• •Collaborate with plant leadership and maintenance teams
• •Support OEE improvements and factory debottlenecking
• •Monitor on-site mechanical, electrical, and civil contractors
• •Ensure safe and compliant project execution
• •Partner with R&D and engineering subject matter experts
• •Maintain accurate factory technical documentation
• •Support equipment installation and commissioning for creams development
• •Travel up to 30% to various project sites
