Tasks
- Develop short and long-term plans and policies
- Delegate responsibilities and provide guidance
- Monitor production and service areas through reports and observations
- Assist in problem-solving and implement corrective actions
- Act as a liaison between co-workers and management
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities
- Coordinate safety, quality, and waste management programs
- Ensure achievement of productivity, quality, and safety goals
- Follow quality and process procedures in the production department
- Manage production cost centers
- Set performance targets for plant awards program
- Support Six Sigma and Lean initiatives
- Establish and monitor accurate production standards
- Oversee the Occupational Safety program, including compliance and training
- Support team development and succession planning
