Requirements

- Translation of requirements into product features
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
- Vocational/technical qualification (Techniker or Meister) with several years' experience in product and project management
- 1-3 years experience in product/project management (electro-mechanical products)
- First experience in product life cycle management and portfolio strategies
- Proven project management experience (planning, execution, delivery)
- Technical affinity and willingness to engage with product details
- Knowledge of product production processes and supply chains
- Experience driving ideas from concept to market launch
- Structured work, documentation of use cases, requirements, specifications
- Very good MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience/knowledge in bicycle/e-bike industry
- Experience in mechanical consumer goods development
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronics)
- Familiarity with IoT, smart locks, or electronic locking systems
- Knowledge of international market requirements and regional product positioning
- Understanding of certification/testing standards for bike locks
Tasks
- Manage assigned product portfolio
- Drive profitability and growth for three brands
- Lead product development from concept to launch
- Ensure on-time, on-budget, on-spec delivery
- Create and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs
- Identify product opportunities
- Inform product strategy
- Coordinate cross-functional teams
- Ensure project alignment and smooth execution
- Develop and execute product strategy for assigned lines
- Plan and position products across all markets
- Manage product lifecycle, including roadmap planning
- Develop product phase-out strategies
- Define product requirements and specifications
- Support design development
- Ensure products meet quality, cost, and performance targets
- Prepare and execute product launches
- Plan go-to-market strategies
- Conduct sales and customer training
- Provide marketing support for launches
- Monitor product performance (sales, margin, feedback)
- Recommend product improvements
- Represent portfolio to internal and external stakeholders
- Determine business potential using technical expertise
- Drive new project initiatives
- Collaborate to optimize product portfolio
- Maximize revenue and margins in categories
- Collaborate to deliver profitable, innovative products
