Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or comparable field
- Several years of experience in technical consumer product development
- Experience in child safety or automotive accessories development (ideal)
- Strong mechanical design experience (concept to SOP)
- Experience with component and assembly modifications
- Very good knowledge of PTC Creo (3D CAD)
- Very good knowledge of Windchill (PLM) for data and release management
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes
- Solid understanding of materials
- Solid understanding of tolerances (e.g. injection molding, metal forming, assembly concepts)
- Ability to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation (drawings, BOMs, specifications)
- Hands-on experience in prototype construction
- Hands-on experience in 3D printing
- Team player skills
- Strong communication skills
- Reliability
