Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in process engineering with focus on separation technology or gas–liquid systems
- Demonstrated experience in experimental design, process testing, and data analysis
- Solid understanding of fluid dynamics, mass transfer, liquid distribution, and water management
- Experience with AspenPlus, KGTower, or similar simulation tools
- Familiarity with PFDs, P&IDs, H&MBs, and process safety documentation
- Fast learning and quick to grasp complex topics
- Team player with hands-on mentality
- Authentic and reflective self
- Self-Organizer and structured workstyle
- Good listener and effective communicator in cross-sectional team
- Curious and open-minded
- Valid Work Permit for Germany, or able to obtain a permit
Tasks
- Design and optimize separation processes
- Focus on gas–liquid behavior and flow dynamics
- Manage water using tools like AspenPlus and KGTower
- Collaborate with simulation partners to define model requirements
- Validate CFD and process models with empirical data
- Translate findings into practical engineering improvements
- Design and operate experimental test systems
- Generate data to validate assumptions
- Accelerate understanding of separation and flow phenomena
- Drive process engineering documentation, including PFDs and P&IDs
- Size valves and pipes, and conduct safety reviews
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Capture and share learnings through structured documentation
- Benchmark emerging research and industrial best practices
