Process Engineer – Advanced Materials(m/w/x)
Process optimization and reactor hardware development on CCS/Planetary deposition systems for advanced materials at semiconductor equipment developer. In-depth knowledge of Group III–V/IV epitaxial growth processes and RPCVD deposition experience required. 30 vacation days, profit sharing, and flexible mobile work options.
Requirements
- Degree in scientific/technical field (Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science) or comparable qualification
- Solid expertise in CMOS technology, advanced material deposition, semiconductor processing, solid-state physics
- In-depth knowledge of epitaxial growth processes (Group III–V and Group IV materials)
- Process experience in semiconductor deposition (ideally RPCVD on commercial epitaxy system)
- Advantageous knowledge of growth techniques (MBE, ALD, sputtering)
- Experience with characterization methods, solid-state physics questions, measurement equipment
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Flexibility
- Openness to international travel (5-10%)
Tasks
- Operate AIXTRON CCS or Planetary systems
- Liaise with Simulation and Design on process optimization
- Liaise with Simulation and Design on reactor hardware development
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing colleagues
- Conduct system demonstrations to support customer acquisition
- Contribute to internal and external cooperation projects
- Develop and optimize deposition reactors
- Develop and optimize compound semiconductor deposition processes
- Plan and manage cross-departmental projects
- Further develop deposition processes
- Drive the evaluation of hardware prototypes
- Design and coordinate complex test series in projects
- Analyze experimental data to identify complex relationships
- Draw conclusions from experimental series
- Analyze and document gained knowledge and experience
- Share knowledge and experience with colleagues and teams
- Adapt laboratory processes to customer requirements
- Transfer processes to customer systems

- Bachelor's degree
