Principal Engineer-Analog Design RF(m/w/x)
Designing RFIC blocks, synthesizers, and complete transmitter/receiver chains. 5+ years RF/Analog CMOS IC design experience with extensive tape-out history required. Structured leadership programs.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or M.S. with equivalent experience
- 5+ years industry experience in RF/Analog CMOS IC design
- Experience in RF TX/RX chain or RF PLL/Synthesizer design
- Deep understanding of RF-Analog IC design
- Extensive product level tape-out experience
- Deep understanding of CMOS transistors and inductor physics
- Deep understanding of IC layout and packaging effects
- Experience in IC test and debug
- Hands-on work with RF lab equipment
- Proficiency with industry-standard design tools
Tasks
- Design RFIC blocks and modules
- Develop RF synthesizers and VCOs
- Create LO generation and transmitter chains
- Design receiver chains including LNAs and mixers
- Build baseband blocks and biasing circuits
- Execute schematic designs and simulations
- Meet performance, area, and power targets
- Supervise and review layout designs
- Collaborate on floor planning and routing
- Manage device matching and shielding strategies
- Implement ESD strategies with layout engineers
- Translate radio requirements into circuit specifications
- Supervise validation and lab bring-up
- Perform bench measurements and simulation correlation
- Conduct root-cause analysis of silicon issues
- Coordinate with foundry teams on PDK usage
- Leverage transistor models and reliability constraints
