In this role, you will drive cardiogenetics research by analyzing complex genomic data and collaborating on the PMI Project to uncover insights into sex diversity in chronic inflammatory diseases.

Requirements

  • PhD or minimum 3 years experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, or data sciences
  • Knowledge of biology
  • Statistical and bioinformatic skills
  • Analysis of human, in vitro, and in vivo omics datasets
  • Experience in experimental validation of genetic and molecular findings
  • Experience applying statistical methods from genetic epidemiology
  • Expertise in Linux/Unix environment and HPC clusters
  • Proficiency in R and Python
  • Knowledge of reproducible workflow systems and version control tools
  • Strong communication skills and interdisciplinary teamwork
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of German as an advantage

Tasks

  • Apply molecular epidemiology methods to WGS and scRNA Seq data
  • Perform in silico annotations of genomics findings
  • Execute statistical data analysis and data integration
  • Create data visualizations for research results
  • Contribute to research publications and grant applications
  • Provide technical support to interdisciplinary team members
  • Collaborate closely on the PMI Project Sex Diversity in CID
