- Track record in conductive composite materials
- Experience with SEM and/or FIB
- Strong experimental skills and laboratory precision
- Data management abilities
- Proven publication record in high-quality journals

- Very good communication skills (written and spoken) in English
- Programming skills or willingness to learn
- Experience with digital materials science
- Experience with data organization and storage
- Practical experience with TEM techniques
Tasks
- Prepare electrode materials using established processes
- Characterize electrode materials' microstructure with FIB-SEM
- Develop and apply 2D segmentation algorithms
- Create 3D reconstructions of battery materials
- Increase contrast between light elements using various methods
- Correlate structure-property relationships using microstructural metrics
- Develop mechanistic concepts of composite conductivity
- Publish results in peer-reviewed journals
- Present findings at conferences
- Supervise and support graduate and undergraduate students
