Requirements

  • •PhD degree or equivalent in Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science or related field
  • •Self-motivated, outcome-oriented, committed personality
  • •Outstanding research, project management, and resource planning skills
  • •Solid background in medical informatics, including interoperability, data processing and AI
  • •Good understanding of novel data-driven technologies
  • •Prior experience in biomedical data or medical information fields
  • •Strong analytical abilities and experience in interdisciplinary research
  • •Positive mindset for collaborations and motivation for continuous self-improvement and learning
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to present at conferences and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and publish research outcomes
  • •Fluency in German and English

Tasks

  • •Leverage real-world health data for research
  • •Enhance methods for collecting high-quality data
  • •Ensure timely delivery of data to the right person
  • •Develop a living lab concept for user-driven innovation
  • •Demonstrate and validate innovative methods in healthcare
  • •Contribute to standardization activities in data centers
  • •Implement standardization in data science practices
  • •Collaborate with clinics and research centers to identify needs
  • •Bridge informatics and clinical practices for data-driven medicine
  • •Foster innovative ideas in interdisciplinary research
  • •Engage with stakeholders to strengthen medical informatics
  • •Lead interoperability for reusable health data
  • •Mentor medical students and informatics thesis candidates
  • •Contribute to teaching activities in medical informatics
  • •Support research fund acquisition with innovative ideas
  • •Communicate within national and international networks
  • •Participate in interdisciplinary research projects in biomedicine
  • •Work closely with experts in medicine and computer science
  • •Develop strategies for data-driven decision-making in clinics
