Requirements

  • Graduate degree (Master’s or university diploma) with Ph.D. in physics or atmospheric/environmental sciences, specializing in aerosol physics/measurement technology
  • Professional experience in aerosol generation, sampling, and measurements
  • Extensive knowledge of aerosol physics and measurement technology
  • Practical experience setting up/operating aerosol measurement devices and counterflow impactors (CVI or PCVI)
  • Experience in experimental aerosol physics
  • Programming skills in LabView and Python
  • Strong communication skills in German and English
  • Teamwork and structured, goal-oriented work approach

Tasks

  • Set up and install instruments for aerosol generation and characterization
  • Develop, test, and implement new measurement systems for aerosol sampling
  • Design components for installation and operation of measurement systems
  • Conduct test measurements and participate in initial scientific experiments
  • Create technical documentation, functional specifications, and operating instructions
