Requirements
- •University degree in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or comparable discipline
- •Experience with electronic system design and setups
- •Experience with microcontrollers or FPGAs is advantageous
- •Expertise in signal processing using statistical methods and machine learning
- •Experience with sensor systems in electronics and signal processing
- •Interdisciplinary knowledge in sensor technology and biology, physics, or chemistry
- •Experience building measurement systems and executing technical experiments
- •Basic knowledge of communication systems and networks is beneficial
- •Scripting experience in Python or comparable programming languages
- •Very good English proficiency (C1–C2)
- •Willingness to learn German
- •German skills at B1 level or higher is ideal
- •Self-organized and independent scientific research skills
- •Ability to present and publish scientific results in English

- •Investigate interactions between ultrasonic, optical, and chemical microsensors
- •Analyze environmental impacts on sensor signals and processing
- •Develop AI methods to streamline complex calibration processes
- •Manage the training and validation of AI calibration models
- •Design and implement complex multimodal sensor systems
- •Build standalone and networked embedded sensor solutions
- •Conduct laboratory testing and field experiments for sensor deployment
- •Extract relevant features and analyze sensor signal data
- •Develop pattern recognition and adaptive control methods
