Requirements

  • •Master in optics, optoelectronics, physics, or related discipline
  • •Strong theoretical knowledge in geometrical, diffractive, and/or physical optics
  • •Experience in optical design and simulation software like Zemax, LightTools, CodeV, Comsol, FDTD, GSolver
  • •Programming skills in Python and/or MATLAB
  • •Strong willingness to explore innovative technologies
  • •Ability to independently search literature and patents in optical area
  • •Fluency in English (written and oral)
  • •Openness to cooperation and teamwork with multiple cultural backgrounds

Work Experience

approx. 1 - 4 years

Tasks

  • •Conduct research on mobile phone imaging lenses
  • •Design fixed focal lenses, zoom lenses, and freeform optics
  • •Perform tolerance and straylight analysis
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional teams on mechanical design
  • •Support the fabrication and characterization of optics
  • •Analyze literature to identify challenges in camera optical modeling
  • •Propose new lens concepts and draft patents
  • •Network with industry and academia experts
