- Identify life-limiting factors like wear fracture and material fatigue
- Combine experimental measurements with finite element simulations
- Identify key parameters for cutting tool wear and operating life
- Predict tool service life using experimental and simulation data
- Develop concepts combining monitoring with predictive maintenance
- Collaborate with international teams to integrate changes into development
- Provide design input for state-of-the-art prototypes
- Analyze dynamics and vibration transmission to improve blade life
