PhD - AI Methods for CMOS Circuit Design(m/w/x)
Developing automated design tools with AI for silicon digital circuits at a large applied research organization. Initial experience with CMOS component circuit design, design-flow tools, Python, and AI frameworks required. State-of-the-art research infrastructure, freedom in own research.
Requirements
- Completed university degree (Master's) in electrical engineering, communications engineering, computer science, microsystems engineering, or comparable field
- Knowledge of functionality of CMOS digital circuits and technologies for implementing CMOS
- Initial experience in digital field regarding circuit design of CMOS components (i.e. with VHDL or SystemVerilog)
- Knowledge of digital design processes from RTL to GDSII
- Experience in using Design-Flow-Tools (i.e. Xcelium, Genus, Innovus) and script languages (especially Python) and AI frameworks (i.e. TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Independent, scientific working style and quick learning abilities
- Good English skills, strong teamwork and communication skills, and passion for experimental work
